Garden with driveway up to the garage and the upper entrance of the house
Start » Natural garden
Accessible natural garden
Description
The house stands on a slope. There are no steps or inaccessible paths in the garden. The user can drive his electric wheelchair on the asphalt-paved paths that surround the house. He can also access the bottom floor of the house by riding around the house.
A driveway leads up to the garage and the upper level of the house. The driveway is rather steep but an electric wheelchair can manage it. Salt is applied to the driveway in winter to prevent ice.

The user spent considerable time thinking about how to come up to the level without steps or ramps. A landscape architect helped him solve the dilemma.
