Adapted kitchen on sailboat in which a person with quadriplegia can cook.
Description
The kitchen consists of a stove, oven, refrigerator and storage compartments. It is located opposite toilet with wood seat. The small refrigerator (see photo 4) is specially designed in wood and has a cooling unit driven by a small compressor. It can keep perishables such as milk fresh for one week. Two stacked removable flatware drawers are behind the stove (see photo 2). Above the stove and refrigerator are storage areas for dishes and glasses. When the user cooks or bakes he sits on the toilet seat. To keep his balance he hangs from a seatbelt that sits around his chest breast and under one arm (see photo 3).
The gas stop cock is easily accessible.
