Stand – the user’s “third hand”

A telescopic slide-out iron rod/stand to which many types of equipment can be attached. This stand enables a user who does not have any active hand function to hold on to various types of equipment.

Description
A stand can be placed on an attachment fitting placed between the user’s legs in the front frame of the wheelchair seat. The stand is made of a telescopic iron rod that can be set in different positions. The stand is connected to the wheelchair leg support and its motor, and can also be tilted forward and backward. A loop sits on the rod that helps the user to put things on and remove things from the stand. A screw allows him to adjust the height unassisted. Various items can be attached to the stand.
The stand is kept easily accessible for the user to get it and attach it himself.

Authors comments
The user calls the stand his “third hand.” He places many different items on the stand, which allows him to hold the items. He uses the ‘third hand’ for his razor, camera, binoculars, fishing rod, skewer, barbecue fork, various wheelchair tables, etc.
