Start » Customized modified kitchen
A kitchen designed for a person with a high spinal cord injury
Description
The kitchen is spacious. There are no cabinets under the sink. Part of the counter also has knee space by the edge. This is where the user sits when writing with his mouth, see associated tip.
Authors comments
The kitchen was expanded to meet the user's needs. At first there was knee space under most of the counter, but there was no oven. But since the user's partner does most of the cooking, and because they had little storage space, they installed an oven and some cabinets under the counter. The user has access wherever he needs it. He has a place to sit and can reach the faucet.
