Start » Eat a sandwich without using hands
Plexiglas table on stand enables persons without active hand function to eat food such as a sandwich.
Description
A small plexiglas table can be attached to the user’s adjustable “third hand” (see the tip for the stand). The table is raised to mouth level. The “third hand” is connected to the electric wheelchair’s leg support and can be moved back and forth with the wheelchair motor. The user eats hamburgers or sandwiches from the table. The plexiglas table has a cut-out section on the side (toward the face) so that the user does not bite it when he eats the sandwich. The table also has a hole that is used as a holder for an ice cream cone.
