Assistive device to transfer persons with high spinal cord injury.
Description
Battery-operated floor hoist
Model: NILCO from Invacare
Authors comments
The user prefers a floor hoist to a ceiling lift even though it occupies a large amount of space. With the floor lift he lands in the right place when transferring to the bed. He feels this is easier for his assistants, who work alone.

The NILCO floor hoist is no longer manufactured. It has been replaced by Flamingo and Flamingo Compact from Invacare.
