Elastic band between rear frame and brake track of wheelchair
Start » Modified wheelchair brake
Elastic band helps to ensure that brakes are not in the way when taking wheels off or putting them back on.
Description
An elastic band is fitted between the wheelchair (Panthera) rear frame and the brake track (connection between the brakes) instead of the two springs on Panthera Original.
Authors comments
The problem was that the springs on the Panthera that pull back on the brakes fall back down when you put the chair down to get it into the car, which makes it difficult to put the wheels back on. The elastic band has to be replaced about three times a year. The elastic band has to be angled correctly, so it pulls in the right direction.
