  2. I really like a one handle rolling pin. I used one at a living history museum. It was all wood and the handle was in the middle with 1 wooden piece from each end of the rolling pin connected to the wooden handle. It was dated around the 1830s-1850s. The story was told that it was useful because a child could be carried on a hip while rolling the dough out with the other hand.
