Bathtub without front and with crate next to it

User wears a belt during the transfer and an assistant helps him move into the bathtub
Start » Transfer to bathtub with assistance
Removal of the front and end plates of the bathtub, a place to sit next to the bathtub and a belt to wear during the transfer make it easier for wheelchair users to transfer to and from the bathtub
Description
The front and end plates of the tub are removed and the tub is painted a pleasant color. A wooden crate is placed on the short end of the tub at the same height as the bathtub. A plastic tarpaulin is placed on the crate.
The user transfers with assistance and uses an EasyBelt, see associated tip. First he transfers to the crate, next he lifts his legs into bathtub and then he moves down into the water.
Authors comments
Removing the front of the bathtub allows the user to come closer to the bathtub. The user sits on the crate during the transfer. The tarpaulin is made of plastic, which makes it easy to slide across it.
