Start » Universal rod – use
Custom-designed rod enables persons with compromised arm/hand function to reach, retrieve and handle a number of different objects.
Description
The universal rod has many uses: to pick up objects (many of the user’s important objects have key rings attached), to reach and grasp objects that are in the back of a cabinet or on a table, to turn spareribs, to get magazines and paper, to wipe the floor with a towel or paper towel, to get something from the refrigerator, etc.; see also associated tips.
Sometimes when the user picks up a heavy object he first places it on a chair and then picks it up with his hand.
