Universal rod with molded handle

Assistive device for writing and for picking up various objects for persons with impaired dexterity.

Description
Custom handle with rod. The user has this device for several different applications. The handle is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic to which a steel rod and a rubber tip are attached. This device helps the user pick up and place a CD on the CD player, pick up objects from a box, type on the computer, and much more.

Authors comments
First the user had similar devices made of splinting material, but these became brittle with time and cracked.
