Start » Using boom to transfer onto sailboat
The boom of the sailboat and an electric winch can be used as a lift for persons with physical disabilities.
Description
The sailboat’s boom together with an electric winch and a double-sided rope can be used as a lift. The rope is double-sided to reduce the load on the winch.
Technique: lower the boom, place lift slings under arms and knees, then place double-sided rope around electric winch and attach to the lift slings. After lifting it about one meter, swing boom over dock.

User needs help from one person for this technique. When he is on his dock at home he prefers to use the stationary hydraulic lift. He does not use this technique when he sails with a male friend.
